I've had the privilege of taking Mei to work and picking her up since I arrived here. Thought you might like more information on what it is she does out here now.

Megan is the Executive Assistant to Desmond Runyan, MD, DrPH at The Kempe Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Child Abuse and Neglect at the University of Colorado School Of Medicine, located on the UC Denver Anschutz Medical Campus. Dr. Runyan is also the National Program Director for the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program. Megan also commits a portion of her time to do work for the RWFCS National Program Office, which is located in Chapel Hill, NC. She is actually going to visit their office in September to meet their staff and see their operation out there. Her main responsibilities are to manage Dr. Runyans schedule, travel, meetings, emails, coordinate Center meetings and other misc duties. She is also now responsible for the Kempe Center Newsletter, an opportunity to use her creative talents.
Prior to coming to The Kempe Center, Megan worked as an Administrative Assistant at the University of Texas at Dallas Student Counseling Center. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD). Megan also served as the Chair for the Engagement sub-committee of the LEEP (LGBTQ, Education, Engagement and Programming) committee at UTD. The committee worked to advance the mission of UT Dallas by nurturing a safe and inclusive environment that values and celebrates the sexual orientation and gender identity/expression of students, staff and faculty.

She's enjoying her job a lot and will be taking a trip to the main headquarters for one of programs she works for in Chapel Hill, North Carolina in September.
